According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 6:00 AM on June 3, in the Northwest region, Hoa Binh Lake is at an altitude of 100.7m, 16.3m lower than the normal water level. Son La Lake reached 194.68m, 20m lower; Lai Chau Lake reached 289.6m, 5.4m lower. Notably, Huoi Quang Lake only reached 368.4m, about 0.4m higher than the dead water level.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir reached 99.83m, 20m lower than the normal water level; Thac Ba reservoir is at 50.07m, nearly 8m lower.
The North Central region recorded Trung Son Lake reaching 154.06m, Ban Ve Lake reaching 176.76m and Khe Bo Lake reaching 64.81m. Among them, Khe Bo Lake is closest to reaching the normal water level, only about 0.2m lower.
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, A Vuong, Song Tranh 2, Pleikrông, Ialy, Dai Ninh, Ham Thuan and Thuong Kon Tum reservoirs are all lower by several meters to dozens of meters compared to the normal water level. Some reservoirs such as Se San 3A, Da Mi and Dong Nai 4 maintain water levels close to the design threshold.
Regarding water flow to the lake, the largest is Son La lake with 485m³/s, followed by Tri An lake 480m³/s, Tuyen Quang lake 353m³/s, Ialy lake 337m³/s and Hoa Binh lake 314m³/s.
Meanwhile, Hoa Binh reservoir continues to generate electricity with a total discharge flow of 2,757m3/s, the highest among the statistically recorded reservoirs. Some other reservoirs with large discharge flows include Tri An 847m3/s, Tuyen Quang 781.58m3/s, Se San 4 450m3/s and Pleyrong 299m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 3, the Northern region on June 3, there will be hot sun, in some places intense hot sun with the highest common temperature of 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and eastern Quang Ngai province has hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.
