The water level at many hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands region is still significantly lower than the normal water level.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 6 am on June 3, in the North Central region, Ban Ve Lake reached an altitude of 176.76m, 23.24m lower than the normal water level; Quang Tri Lake reached 466.85m, 13.15m lower; Trung Son Lake reached 154.06m, 5.94m lower.

Khe Bo reservoir alone is at 64.81m, only 0.19m lower than the normal water level of 65m.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong lake reached 362.54m, 17.46m lower; Song Bung 2 lake reached 589.6m, 15.4m lower; Song Tranh 2 lake reached 161.62m, 13.38m lower.

Vinh Son A, Vinh Son B and Vinh Son C reservoirs are currently lower by 5.59-7.74m compared to the normal water level.

The Central Highlands region recorded many large lakes being lower by 13-19m compared to the design. Specifically, Pleikrông lake reached 551.08m, lower than 18.92m; Ialy lake reached 497.43m, lower than 17.57m; Thượng Kon Tum lake reached 1,146.74m, lower than 13.26m.

Meanwhile, the group of reservoirs on the Se San river system maintains a high water level. Se San 3A reservoir reached 238.92m, only 0.08m lower than the normal water level; Se San 3 reservoir is 0.9m lower and Se San 4 reservoir is 2.34m lower. Similarly, Dong Nai 4 reservoir reached 475.58m, 0.42m lower and An Khe reservoir reached 428.31m, 0.69m lower than the design elevation.

Regarding operation, Se San 4 reservoir has the largest total discharge flow in the area with 450m3/s, followed by Pleiku 299m3/s, Se San 3 and Se San 3A are at the same level of 240m3/s.

Notably, Se San 3A reservoir is discharging 240m3/s through the spillway, while Buon Kuop reservoir maintains a deep discharge gate with a flow through the dam of 15.16m3/s.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 3, the Northern region on June 3, there will be hot sun, in some places intense hot sun with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and eastern Quang Ngai province has hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.

The Southern region has moderate rain, heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
