Cloudy skies, sunshine intensity decreases, while rain increases in both area and amount compared to recent days.
In the past 24 hours, the South recorded widespread rain, with scattered moderate to heavy rain. From 7 am on September 9 to 7 am on September 10, some places had heavy rainfall such as Da Ploa (Lam Dong) 97.4 mm, Dak Ha (Lam Dong) 96.6 mm, Nam Ban (Lam Dong) 93.8 mm, La Nga (Dong Nai) 55 mm, Huong My (Vinh Long) 42.6 mm, Gao Giong (Dong Thap) 33.4 mm and Linh Huynh (An Giang) 27.6 mm.
From 1:00 PM on September 10th to 1:00 PM on September 12th, the South will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places. Total rainfall is commonly 70-150 mm, with some places over 150 mm. Heavy rain is forecast to continue until the end of September 12th.
The meteorological agency warns that heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial parks, riverside areas, and canals. In thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
In particular, the risk of flooding on small rivers and streams and landslides on slopes is warned in the Lam Dong and Dong Nai areas.
