Hanoi - During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the Railway industry transported nearly 400,000 passengers, of which Hanoi station is the busiest pick-up point in the country.

On May 4, information from Vietnam Railways Corporation said that during the April 30 - January 1 holiday this year, the entire industry has transported nearly 400,000 passengers, ensuring safety and meeting the increasing travel needs of people.

Notably, the 10 stations receiving the most passengers during this period are respectively: Hanoi station with 74,246 passengers - leading in the number of passengers received; Saigon station 33,508 passengers; Da Nang station 32,602 passengers; Hai Phong station 31,360 passengers; Hue station 23,295 passengers; Nha Trang station 20,068 passengers; Vinh station 11,607 passengers; Quang Ngai station 10,035 passengers; Dieu Tri station 9,349 passengers and Lao Cai station 9,252 passengers.

The railway industry's strengthening of transport capacity and organization of additional train operations has contributed to effectively serving the travel needs of passengers, while ensuring order and traffic safety during the holidays.

Specifically, in order to serve the increasing travel demand, the Railway industry has maintained regular operation of Unified train pairs and regional trains with a total of 182 trips. At the same time, organized the operation of 47 more train trips on key routes such as: Hanoi - Hai Phong; Hanoi - Lao Cai; Hanoi - Vinh, Dong Hoi, Da Nang; Saigon - Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Quang Ngai...
