Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan, Vice President of Can Tho City Labor Federation; Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong, Director of Department of Health, Board of Directors of the Department, leaders of affiliated units, pharmaceutical production and trading establishments.
According to statistics at the ceremony, the total amount of money raised was nearly 2 billion VND. With this amount, the Department of Health will contribute 400 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City. The remaining amount, the Department of Health will form a delegation to directly provide relief in Lao Cai province, expected from September 19 to 21, 2024.
At the launching ceremony, Director of Can Tho City Department of Health Hoang Quoc Cuong expressed his thanks to all collectives and individuals in the health sector in the public and private systems, pharmaceutical production and trading establishments inside and outside the city for actively supporting the launching program, joining hands to share difficulties, and supporting the people of the North to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.
The Board of Directors of the Department of Health of Can Tho City commits to publicly and transparently use the mobilized funds for the right purposes, directly to the affected people, ensuring the meaning and wishes of all civil servants, public employees, and workers in the health sector.
