Bustling atmosphere in the border region
In Khanh Binh commune - one of the border communes of An Giang province. For many days now, the main roads leading to the commune center have been decorated with colorful flags and flowers. Propaganda panels about elections are erected neatly in front of the commune People's Committee headquarters, cultural houses, schools and residential areas.
Along National Highway 91C and inter-communal provincial road 957, red flags with yellow stars and banners are hung evenly, creating a solemn but also very familiar scene. The atmosphere of preparation for election day also spreads to each hamlet, each household. In front of the house, many families hang solemn national flags. New rural roads are swept clean, residential areas are neatly renovated to welcome the festival of the whole people.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Bao Phuc (resident of Khanh Binh commune, An Giang province) shared: "Every election season, people in the neighborhood are excited. This year, seeing the locality decorated very beautifully, flags and flowers hung everywhere, the atmosphere is even more bustling. We are very much looking forward to the election day to exercise the rights and obligations of citizens.

According to Mr. Phuc, in the border area, people's lives are associated with fields, border markets and trade activities. Election day is always considered an important political event. Therefore, when the atmosphere of preparation for election day spreads everywhere, people feel even more clearly the meaning of the big festival.
Urgently prepare stages to serve elections
In parallel with decoration and propaganda, border localities of An Giang province are actively implementing many important tasks to ensure that the election takes place democratically, in accordance with the law and safely.
At the polling stations, voter lists have been publicly posted for people to monitor and check. Election teams have also been established, assigning specific tasks to each member, from preparing polling locations to guiding voters on election days.
Mr. Ta Van Khuong - Chairman of Khanh Binh Commune People's Committee - said that the voting areas are all selected in places convenient for people to travel such as hamlet cultural houses, schools or hamlet headquarters. These locations are being renovated to be clean and beautiful, ensuring solemnity and compliance with regulations.

The locality has proactively developed detailed plans for each stage of preparation. At the same time, focus on promoting propaganda to help people understand the meaning of the election; review voter lists and prepare sufficient facilities for polling stations. The goal is to ensure that all voters participate in the election smoothly, safely and in accordance with regulations," said Mr. Ta Van Khuong.
Chairman of Khanh Binh Commune People's Committee also added that functional forces in the locality such as police, military, and border guards have developed plans to ensure security and order before, during and after the election day. Patrol and control work in the border area has been strengthened to maintain political security and social order and safety.
