HCMC - On the first day of operation, many passengers used the 172 bus route traveling from Ben Thanh to Vung Tau.

On November 1, Ho Chi Minh City's 172 bus route officially began operating, transporting passengers from Ben Thanh area to Vung Tau bus station and vice versa by 16-seat vehicle.

This is a non-subsidized bus route operated by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to meet the travel needs of people, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the area after the merger.

Recorded on the Vung Tau side, the first bus departing to Ben Thanh had only 1 passenger at the starting point. The following trains were also empty.

Meanwhile, the first trip from Ben Thanh (HCMC) to Vung Tau was packed with passengers; the second trip also reached nearly half of the seats. Mr. H (a bus user) said that his original destination was planned to be Ba Ria, but because of curiosity, he decided to go to the end of the route, Vung Tau bus station, to experience.

The bus route operator of route 172 said that because this is a weekend, the number of passengers traveling from Vung Tau to Ben Thanh is not high. The reason is that on weekends, there are few visitors who are officials, civil servants, public employees and workers going to work in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

By Monday, November 3, it is expected that there will be many passengers using the bus from Vung Tau to Ben Thanh, because there are many civil servants and public employees going to work along with the number of passengers who need to use the bus to the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
