Nghe An goods have been present in 170 countries and territories. Foreign investment capital continues to flow in with 25 new FDI projects, total registered capital exceeding 1 billion USD, affirming the attractiveness of Nghe An's investment environment in the North Central region and the whole country.
Not only economically, Nghe An education continues to make its mark in the first days of the year. In the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 96 students winning national excellent student awards, including 9 first prizes, 29 second prizes, 37 third prizes and 21 consolation prizes. Imprint of responsibility, humanity

One of the strong imprints of Nghe An in 2025 is the synchronous implementation of social security work, strongly oriented towards grassroots levels. The whole province has created jobs for about 49,000 workers, exceeding the set plan; poverty reduction programs and support for vulnerable groups continue to be maintained effectively.
In particular, Nghe An has completed the goal of eliminating 20,802 temporary and dilapidated houses, including more than 14,000 newly built houses and more than 6,400 repaired houses, reaching 100% of the review demand.
In many mountainous areas, remote areas, and border areas, new houses springing up in the great forest become a fulcrum for people to feel secure in working and producing.
2025 is also a challenging year when Nghe An has to face many heavy rains and floods, serious natural disasters, causing great damage to houses, infrastructure and livelihoods of people, especially in mountainous and border areas. Immediately after the natural disaster, the entire political system from the province to the grassroots level urgently intervened, prioritizing stabilizing housing and people's lives.
A series of resettlement areas have been formed. Civil works such as roads, bridges, clean water, and schools have been started and repaired. In parallel with material support, propaganda, mobilization, and care for the spiritual life of people in flood-affected areas are focused on, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
Along with socio-economic development, Nghe An identifies administrative reform as an important breakthrough to improve competitiveness and better serve people and businesses. Many procedures have been shortened, reducing compliance costs; public administrative service centers are operating more and more effectively.
Strategic infrastructure paves the way for the future

Stepping into 2026 - the first year of the new 5-year development plan, Nghe An sets a GRDP growth target of 10.5 - 11.5%, aiming for double-digit growth. To realize this goal, the province identifies strategic infrastructure investment as one of the key pillars.
Many key projects are being implemented or preparing to start construction such as: Cua Lo deep-water port with a total investment of about 9,000 billion VND, which started construction at the end of 2025; Vinh - Thanh Thuy expressway expected to start construction on April 30, 2026; project to extend the runway of Vinh International Airport, expand National Highway 46, Ban Mong Reservoir, Provincial Administrative Center... are being focused on implementation.
Sharing about the determination for the new year, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee - emphasized: "2026 is a pivotal year, opening a new stage of development. The province will continue to innovate thinking and drastic actions, taking practical efficiency as a measure; accompanying businesses, focusing on removing bottlenecks, accelerating the progress of key projects, creating a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable growth.
