On November 7, the People's Committee of Nhon My commune (Can Tho city) announced the discovery of a crocodile appearing on the water surface.

According to information and images provided by local residents, at around 10:00 a.m. on November 6, in Phung Tuong 2 Hamlet, a crocodile about 1.5 m long, weighing about 30 - 40 kg, was discovered floating on the water surface of the canal area leading to the garden ditch in Phung Tuong 2 Hamlet. When discovered, the crocodile had sunk.

After receiving the report from the people, Nhon My Commune Police assigned officers, soldiers and grassroots security forces to coordinate with the people to search but have not yet discovered it.

The People's Committee of Nhon My commune has informed local people to raise vigilance and prevention; do not let children swim or swim in the river; limit approach to areas with canals, ditches or access to areas where crocodiles suspected of appearing. Local authorities and authorities are closely monitoring the situation to take timely measures.

If people discover the above crocodile, they should immediately notify the People's Committee of Nhon My commune or the Nhon My commune police via phone number 0766.946.113 to organize a timely arrest.
