The Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups in Tan Phong Commune recreates the market in Van Yen village on the Da River and many unique cultural activities.

The highlight is the "Xu Muong Culture" activity, gathering 10 booths of cooperatives and business households to introduce local typical products including sticky-dried bananas, dried bamboo shoots, garlic, kitchen pork, Da River dried fish, and medicinal herbs of the Muong people.
Activities recreating the lake market with dozens of cargo ships from Phu Tho, Hai Phong and some neighboring provinces anchored at the wharf, carrying essential goods. The bustling crowd of people getting on a shopping boat recreates the lively atmosphere of the floating market that used to be associated with residents in the lake area near Van Wharf.

Attending the festival on the Da River for the first time, Ms. Le Cam Tu, a tourist from Phu Tho, shared: I am very impressed with the boat market and booths imbued with the culture of ethnic groups. Enjoying cuisine right on the river wharf is a very special experience.
The festival also brings a rich cultural space including: Dang Muong singing on the Da River, cultural exchanges between villages, culinary competitions to present traditional dish trays and folk games such as shooting on the net, pushing sticks, pulling, closing the eyes to catch ducks... creating a joyful atmosphere, connecting the community.

Mr. Cam Vinh Tri, Chairman of Tan Phong Commune People's Committee, said that the festival is not only an occasion for people of all ethnic groups in the commune to celebrate after the harvest, but also contributes to spreading the beauty of the traditional market.
We expect the atmosphere of the festival to continue to be maintained in the markets along the Da River on the 6th, 16th and 26th of each month, thereby promoting trade and promoting the culture of local ethnic groups, Mr. Tri emphasized.

Tan Phong Commune Festival contributes to honoring the cultural values of ethnic groups in the Da River reservoir area and creating momentum for economic and tourism development in the locality.
