Initial statistics show that more than 2,700 hectares of young rice were flooded.

In the morning of 9.2, the People's Committee of Hai Lang district went to check and direct the relevant units and localities to the rice rescue. Currently, the drainage of rice area is difficult, when the canals are flooded, some places in the canals and rivers are higher than the field.

Mr. Dao Van Tram - Deputy Head of Agriculture and Rural Development Division of Hai Lang district - said that if the flooding situation lasts long, young rice will die or be affected by the growth process. Therefore, regardless of day and night, local and people have deployed dikes and pumps to drain water in flooded rice fields.

It is known that, in mid -January 2025, about 2,000 hectares of rice after cultivation in Quang Tri province were flooded due to rain, many areas were seriously affected.
