On May 25, the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province said that it had summarized the results of collecting people's opinions on the project to establish Duc Trong, Ham Thuan Nam and Cu Jut wards.

Accordingly, the collection of opinions will be implemented from May 20 to 21 through many forms such as residential cluster conferences, collecting opinions from household representatives and directly at households.
In Duc Trong commune, there were 18,301 people participating in the opinion poll, of which 18,205 votes of agreement, reaching a rate of 99.48%; 96 votes of disagreement, accounting for 0.52%.
In Ham Thuan Nam commune, there were 7,135 voters participating in the opinion poll, reaching 96.79%; of which 7,133 votes of agreement, reaching 99.97%, only 2 votes of disagreement.

Meanwhile, there were 9,291 votes of agreement, reaching 97.44%; 244 votes of disagreement, accounting for 2.56%.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, the above results show that the policy of establishing wards has received high consensus from the people, showing expectations for a more synchronous and modern urban development space in the coming time.

However, according to the People's Committees of Duc Trong, Ham Thuan Nam and Cu Jut communes, a small part of the population is still concerned about having to adjust documents such as household registration books, land use right certificates, business registration and other administrative procedures when changing administrative units.
Local authorities said they will continue to propagate and explain to people to understand the purpose, meaning and long-term benefits of establishing wards, creating high consensus after the National Assembly issues an official resolution.
