On May 15, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that there is a plan to organize a public opinion poll on the establishment of 4 wards based on the status quo of 4 communes including Tan Dinh, Dien Khanh, Dien Lac and Dien Dien.
According to the plan issued by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on May 13, the people's opinion poll is expected to take place from May 21 to May 24, 2026.
The Provincial People's Committee requested Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations in 4 communes to promote propaganda, clarify the meaning, importance and positive impacts of the establishment of wards.
Thereby, creating consensus and unity among the local people.
People's Committees of Tan Dinh, Dien Khanh, Dien Lac and Dien Dien communes are assigned to proactively choose appropriate forms of propaganda such as broadcasting on loudspeakers, mobile vehicles, visual propaganda, hanging banners, posters, posting news articles on Zalo groups, fan pages of communes, villages and mass organizations.
Based on the actual situation, the People's Committees of 4 communes will issue opinion forms to each household in a form suitable for each village, ensuring publicity, transparency and convenience.
The content of the opinion collection focuses on the establishment of wards based on the original status of each corresponding commune.
After completing the collection of people's opinions, the People's Committees of communes must summarize the results and report to the People's Councils at the same level, clearly stating the total number of households, the number of participating households, the number of households agreeing, disagreeing and other opinions if any.
According to the plan, if the approval rate reaches 50% or more of the total number of households in each commune, the locality will continue to implement the steps according to regulations.
No later than May 27, the People's Committees of 4 communes must complete the project dossiers and submit them to the Provincial People's Committee for approval through the Department of Home Affairs after the Commune People's Council gives opinions on the policy of establishing wards.
The Department of Home Affairs will summarize the results of taking people's opinions, advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Provincial People's Council, and post the results on the Provincial Electronic Information Portal and the Government Electronic Information Portal before May 28.
From May 29 to June 3, the Department of Home Affairs will continue to complete the project, advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit it to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee according to regulations.
