On November 28, Trieu Phong Commune Police (Quang Tri Province) said that they had received a thank you letter from Mr. Vo Tan Thanh (72 years old, residing in Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province).
In the letter, Mr. Thanh expressed his emotion and gratitude for the sense of responsibility of the police force in the process of searching, verifying and helping the family reunite.
Previously, Trieu Phong Commune Police received a report about a wandering man of unknown origin in the area. The verification process showed that this person resided in Nha Trang ward and had left home since February 2025, without contact with the family.
Through connecting channels, on November 27, the police force informed Mr. Thanh about their son wandering in Quang Tri. That same day, he went to Quang Tri to find a child.
However, when he arrived at Trieu Phong, he walked into An Lo market area in Hue City. The police continued to search and coordinate in many directions of information, and at the same time persuaded him to agree to return.
After the father and son reunited, the Trieu Phong Commune Police provided them with clothes, shoes and personal belongings, and arranged vehicles to bring them back to their hometown safely.
Mr. Thanh said that the Trieu Phong Commune Police not only helped him find his son's whereabouts, but also advised and mobilized him to meet his father and return home.
