On the morning of August 31, hundreds of people in residential groups and Son Tay ward, Hanoi received 100,000 VND as gifts for the National Day holiday on September 2.
Mr. Cao Huy Duc (Cam Thinh residential group, Son Tay ward, Hanoi) said that he and his family have received 600,000 VND for 6 family members.
"My mother, my husband, I and 3 children have all received Tet gifts from the State. Although the gift of 100,000 VND/person is not large, it is a great spiritual encouragement for the people. As for families in difficult circumstances, this is a very valuable gift" - Mr. Duc shared.
Sharing her feelings about this special gift, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung happily shared: "Since morning, my people and I have been lining up to complete procedures to receive Tet gifts. This gift is extremely meaningful and encourages the people. On the occasion of the National Day celebrating the country's independence and freedom, all people received gifts. My mother, who is 93 years old this year, also received the first Tet gift for the Independence. My mother was moved to tears".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (Mong Phu residential group, Son Tay ward, Hanoi) represented her family in completing procedures to receive Tet gifts for family members.
"Thank you to the State, thank you to the Government. We are very excited, very happy. My family has 4 members, receiving 400,000 VND. The son's family has 5 members, receiving 500,000 VND. In total, the two families living in the same house earned 900,000 VND. So happy. The procedures for receiving money are also very quick" - Ms. Thu said emotionally.
Mr. Ha Van Huong (Head of Mong Phu Residential Group, Son Tay Ward, Hanoi) said: Our residential group has about 430 households and about 1,800 people. When the Party and State gave us the gift of the National Assembly for the 80th Anniversary of the National Day on September 2, we informed the entire population that the people were very excited.
This morning, people in Mong Phu residential group gathered at the cultural house from 7am, excitedly going to receive Tet gifts for the Independence.
The procedure for receiving Tet gifts for the independent Republic is also simple, people just need to provide residence information of all family members from the VneID app on their smartphones to the staff on duty, then they will be recorded in the list and sign to receive the money. A family member can receive money for all other members as long as they have full information integrated on VneID.
Some households with elderly people receiving money have been supported by the police and the government to receive cash today.
"I myself have been a child since I was a child, this is the first time I have received an independent Tet gift, so the emotions are hard to describe. The greatest joy is the joy of a person living in a peaceful, independent country, people are warm and happy" - Mr. Huong shared.
