Investing 85 billion VND to "change clothes" for Hung Vuong Square

The project "Lighting, decoration, fountain system in Hung Vuong Square area, Viet Tri ward, Phu Tho province" was approved according to Decision No. 1225/QD-UBND dated December 22, 2025 of Viet Tri Ward People's Committee.
This project has a total investment of 85 billion VND invested by the Viet Tri Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board (under the People's Committee of Viet Tri Ward).
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, on May 22, the project investor issued a bidding invitation notice for "Package No. 03: Construction and installation of works".
The above-mentioned construction package was widely bid through the network, with a price of 80 billion VND from the Phu Tho provincial budget, Viet Tri ward budget and mobilizing other legal capital sources.
In the near future, after completing the contractor selection for package No. 03, the winning bidder will deploy the construction of lighting, decoration, and fountain systems in the Hung Vuong square area.
According to the project dossier, the construction investment scale of the bidding package includes:
The floor sound water music system is built on the square campus with a total construction area of about 3,400m2 with a system including: About 1,000 shaped nozzles, about 1,000 submerged pumps, more than 1,000 LED lights and control cabinet systems, electric cables, computers, sound...
The elliptical fountain system (including 2 fountains) symmetry on both sides of the square has a total construction scale of about 1,500m2 combined with systems including: Sculpture nozzles; 3-phase and submerged pumps; LED lights and control cabinets, industrial computers, electrical cables...
The contractor will construct, renovate, plant, and arrange green trees to create harmony for the overall architectural structure of the project area; install public utilities, transformer stations serving the project and some other auxiliary items.
People expect a highlight project
Being shared by reporters with images of the construction design drawings of the project, many people in Phu Tho province are very much looking forward to and expect a new look for Hung Vuong Square.
Mr. Manh - a resident of Hy Cuong commune (Thanh Dinh commune, former Viet Tri city) - shared: "When there is no event, the square is very deserted, it feels somewhat empty. Hopefully, the fountain system and water music will become a new highlight, attracting people every day, especially young people.
According to Mr. Dung - a resident of Viet Tri ward, arranging a fairly large area of the square to make a fountain, water music, and green tree system will bring modernity and harmony to the area.
However, with such a large area to be constructed, in my opinion, the items need to keep reasonable space, ensuring sufficient ground to serve the province's major events that take place a lot each year" - Mr. Dung stated his opinion.
From the design, it can be seen that the combination of the floor sound water music system (3,400m2) and 2 symmetrical elliptical fountains (1,500m2) promises to create a magnificent water art space.
Along with that, thousands of nozzles, LED lights and synchronous submersible pumps controlled by computer will bring eye-catching light and sound performances.
