The station has been crowded since morning
Recorded on the morning of September 2nd, the number of passengers flocking to Ben Thanh, City Theater and Ba Son stations increased sharply. At Ben Thanh station, streams of people lined up through the ticket control area, waiting to board trains going towards Suoi Tien.
Passengers are mainly families with young children, groups of young friends and tourists coming to Ho Chi Minh City during the holidays. Many people bring backpacks, snacks, preparing for a day-long fun trip.

Station staff continuously guide passengers to move, use escalators and get on and off trains in the right positions. Although the number of passengers increased, passenger pick-up and drop-off still took place relatively orderly.
Inside the train cars, most of the seats quickly filled. Many passengers had to stand throughout the journey.
According to the plan, on September 2nd, Metro Line 1 will operate from 5am to 11pm with a total of 264 train trips. The toll exemption helps people have more choices to travel on holidays, while reducing pressure on the roads leading to the amusement park and the central area.
Take the Metro to Suoi Tien for fun
On holidays, one of the routes chosen by many passengers is to go from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Suoi Tien Tourist Area. Instead of using motorbikes or personal cars, many families choose Metro Line 1 to shorten travel time.

Accompanying relatives from Gia Lai province to Ho Chi Minh City to have fun during the holiday, Mr. Hoang Trong Hach (Gia Lai province) said that the whole family was present at the station from early morning.
On the occasion of National Day September 2nd, I chose to take Metro Line 1 from the city center to Suoi Tien to visit, have fun and experience. Today, the number of passengers is quite large but the atmosphere is very cheerful. Free tickets for all people on the holiday is a practical policy, creating conditions for everyone to conveniently travel and experience the metro. I feel the trip is great," Mr. Hach shared.

Also choosing the metro to go out with a group of friends, Mr. Tran Minh Khang (24 years old, Xuan Hoa ward) assessed that traveling by Metro Line 1 is more convenient than personal vehicles on holidays.
Going from the center to Suoi Tien by train is quite fast, no need to worry about finding a parking spot. Although there are many passengers today, getting on and off the train is still convenient, with staff guiding at stations," Mr. Khang said.

In the opposite direction, Metro Line 1 also serves a large number of people from the eastern area to the city center to visit, play and watch activities to celebrate National Day.
The toll exemption on September 2nd not only creates conditions for people to experience modern public transport but also contributes to forming the habit of using the Metro during major city events.
