On July 31, in Kon Pin village (Tra Linh commune, Da Nang city), the service of the Black Lotus God "Ummers Ngoc Linh Seed" took place in a solemn and sacred atmosphere. This is a traditional ritual of the Xe Dang people to pray for a favorable ginseng season.

The highlight of the ceremony was the People's Committee of Tra Linh commune donating more than 7,000 Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings (1 year old) to 33 disadvantaged households from Nam Tra My, Tra Leng, Tra Tap, Tra Van and Tra Linh communes.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - the old man of Kon Pin village, the ginseng worship ceremony is a particularly important spiritual activity, taking place periodically every year at Ngoc Linh ginseng Temple.
According to the representative of the People's Committee of Tra Linh commune, the number of seedlings donated is the contribution of enterprises and ginseng growing households in the area, demonstrating the spirit of "For Tra Linh development, no one is left behind". These precious seedlings help people have the conditions to plant and develop sustainable livelihoods.

Ms. Ho Thi Mai, a resident of Tra Leng commune, was moved: "Before, we only heard that ginseng plants were very precious, but there were no conditions to grow them. Now that we have been granted a breed, we will take good care of it, hopefully we will change our lives in a few years".
Ngoc Linh ginseng - a rare medicinal herb in Vietnam, can be exploited after 5-7 years of planting. The current value ranges from a few tens to a few hundred million VND per kilogram depending on the type. Tra Linh is the locality with the largest area of Ngoc Linh ginseng in the country, and is also a place that fully preserves the valuable local knowledge about this ginseng variety. In particular, "Folklore knowledge about Ngoc Linh Ngoc Linh ginseng" has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
