In the upcoming merger of commune-level administrative units, Chuong Xa commune will merge with Phu Lac commune and Van Khuc commune to become Nhat Tien commune, Cam Khe district - 1 of 3 new commune names in Phu Tho province. The current Chuong Xa commune will be the center of the new Nhat Tien commune in the future.
In recent years, Cam Khe district has focused on investing in developing transport infrastructure, and many new roads have been built in Chuong Xa commune. Most recently, Cam Khe district People's Committee has invested nearly 8 billion VND in the project: Renovation and upgrading of rural roads in the inter-area of Xom Chua - Dong Ram - Quyet Thang, Chuong Xa commune.
Coming to Quyet Thang area, Chuong Xa commune in the last days of October to see the above project, Lao Dong Newspaper reporter could not help but be surprised by the somewhat messy construction site.
Here, a series of fences, gates, structures, trees... of households were simultaneously demolished. Responding to reporters' questions about the cause of the above incident, the people enthusiastically said that the households voluntarily demolished the structures to donate land to build roads for the State.
Mr. Do Van Toan's family (in Quyet Thang area, Chuong Xa commune) just built a gate and fence about 2 years ago. Now there is a road construction project, without thinking twice, Mr. Toan and many surrounding households have demolished everything to hand over the site to the road construction unit.
"After the commune came down to mobilize and encourage, my family demolished all the structures on about 12m of road frontage. Last year, my family spent more than ten million VND to build our house. After the new road is completed, my family will rebuild it again. However, I think for the common good and the future, it is worth it for the people to suffer a little loss," Mr. Toan confided.
Similar to Mr. Toan's case, Mr. Pham Van Suu's family in Quyet Thang area also demolished the fence (preparing to demolish the gate), the row of dragon fruit trees in the garden, and cleared the ground for the construction unit to build a new road.
"I have demolished 36m of fence and dragon fruit trees within the road construction area. In my opinion, widening the road to 7m like this is reasonable, because in the near future after the commune merger, this will be the main route for many people in Phu Lac commune to go to the center of Chuong Xa commune (later the center of the new commune Nhat Tien)" - Mr. Suu shared.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Trinh Tien Hau - Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in Cam Khe district - said that with the project of Upgrading and Renovating the rural traffic road in Xom Chua - Dong Ram - Quyet Thang area, Chuong Xa commune, the construction work was very favorable thanks to the cooperation and facilitation of local people, especially the voluntary demolition of architectural structures to donate land for road construction.
"It can be seen that the effectiveness of the propaganda and mobilization work has created a movement to donate land for road construction in Chuong Xa commune. From there, investors, contractors, and local authorities will save a lot of time and money, ensuring the design of the project as well as the progress of the project" - Mr. Hau shared.
