As Lao Dong newspaper reported, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police have prosecuted and temporarily detained 3 subjects to investigate a case related to the Dai Thang residential area social housing project, Van Xuan ward, Thai Nguyen province.
The subjects include: Pham Thi Hong G (resident in Hanoi City), Hoang Van H (resident in Bac Ninh) and Nguyen Tu A (resident in Quyet Thang ward, Thai Nguyen).
According to the investigation, during the sale of social housing apartments, the above real estate consultants colluded with subjects to forge documents. From there, they used them as false dossiers, legalizing illegal procedures to buy social housing.
Functional agencies determined that 304 units carried out the confirmation of social housing purchase dossiers at Dai Thang residential area and many dossiers showed signs of using fake documents.
The prosecution of the case not only has a deterrent effect, tightening the management of social housing policies but also helps low-income workers have more opportunities to own houses. Avoid speculation, price inflation, and distorting the real estate market.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (worker at Diem Thuy Industrial Park - Thai Nguyen) said that social housing policies and incentives help low-income people have the opportunity to own houses and settle down. Speculation, inflating prices, and falsifying documents to buy houses are unacceptable.
When speculators appear, falsifying dossiers to buy social housing, workers who really need it lose the opportunity. This affects the humanistic values that policies actually bring.
I hope that negative acts and profiteering from social housing policies will be strictly handled so that poor workers have more opportunities to own houses, thereby being assured to work and improve their lives," Ms. Hoa shared.
Sharing the same thought, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thang (Hoang Mai ward, Hanoi city) said that the housing demand of low-income workers is actually very large. However, the situation of forging applications to buy social housing has deprived many people of opportunities.
I also once could not buy social housing even though I was eligible to buy it because the number of applications submitted was too large, not my turn. I am really very upset about the situation of speculation and forging applications to buy social housing.
This is very unfair to people in difficult circumstances who want to own a house for themselves," Mr. Thang said.
Also according to Mr. Thang, functional agencies need to continue to strongly handle violations. In particular, when handed over and put into operation, social housing projects need to check actual housing needs, avoiding the situation of being abandoned or rented out.
If handled synchronously from the stage of checking dossiers and post-inspection, the above situation will be resolved. From there, opening up opportunities for settlement for low-income people.
Many social housing apartments at this project, although not yet handed over, real estate brokers and owners have publicly offered for sale at prices differing from the price signed with the investor from 200 - 500 million VND/unit, depending on the area.
In particular, during the investigation, PV found that there is a situation of social housing speculation at the Dai Thang residential area project, when some people actually own many apartments here, the apartments are all registered in the names of relatives, then sold to each other to enjoy a difference of hundreds of millions of VND.
Speculation and inflating social housing prices not only distort the real estate market but also push house prices up, depriving low-income people of the opportunity to settle down and work, causing injustice in society.
