Accordingly, on January 4 and 5, a monkey, identified as a pig-tailed monkey, suddenly appeared in a residential area in Kham village, Hoi Xuan commune.
On the morning of January 4, this monkey individual went from the natural forest to a residential area near the forest in Kham village, went into Mr. Pham Ba Dien's house to pick fruit in the garden, and at the same time bit a raised chicken to death and ate 10 chicken eggs.
Then, on the morning of January 5, the monkey continued from the forest to the area of Mr. Hoang Dinh Giang's family (residing in Kham village, near the forest) and attacked Mrs. Pham Thi Chien (born 1958, Mr. Giang's wife), causing Mrs. Chien to be injured in both arms and had to be hospitalized for 15 stitches.

After the incident occurred, Quan Hoa Forest Protection Department sent two forest rangers to be on duty on the ground, coordinating with the village and commune authorities to monitor, promptly detect and drive away the above-mentioned monkey, ensuring safety for people.
