Mr. Pham Anh Tuan also assigned the People's Committee of Quy Nhon City to strictly implement the plan to protect unexploited minerals in the area, not to let illegal mining happen again. At the same time, Hoa Cuong Stone Company Limited is required to promptly complete and submit the project to close the Hon Cha mountain stone quarry, to submit to competent authorities for approval, as a basis for implementation.

Quy Nhon City must direct relevant departments, professional offices and People's Committees of wards and communes to strengthen inspection, supervision and thorough handling of illegal mineral exploitation acts, ensuring sufficient deterrence and preventing recidivism, especially in the area east of Hon Cha Mountain.
"There are long-term and effective fundamental measures to rectify mineral protection in this area. The Chairman of Quy Nhon City People's Committee is responsible to the Provincial People's Committee if illegal mineral exploitation is allowed in the management area," Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized.

Previously, from the accurate and timely reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper, on May 10, the Tran Quang Dieu Ward Police force organized an ambush, discovered and arrested a group of subjects illegally mining stone on Hon Cha Mountain. Through the struggle, the subjects admitted their actions.
At the scene, the authorities seized 11 stone blocks with a total estimated weight of more than 50m3, along with many vehicles and equipment for stone mining activities.
The 4 illegal stone miners all reside in Tuy Phuoc district (Binh Dinh), including: Pham Huu Xuan Mui (born in 1979), Pham Gia Lam (born in 1990), Nguyen Ngoc Son (born in 1981), and Phan Thanh Binh (born in 1979). All of these subjects were hired to participate in illegal stone mining activities at Hon Cha Mountain.
Currently, the authorities are expanding the investigation, tracing related links, and clarifying whether there are business factors behind this activity or not. At the same time, it clarified the reason why illegal stone miners on Hon Cha mountain can use a 3-phase power source.
Immediately afterwards, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province directed the authorities to urgently investigate and strictly handle the case. "The viewpoint of the provincial leaders is to handle it strictly, especially to clarify whether there is anyone behind the protection of this illegal activity," Mr. Pham Anh Tuan resolutely said.
