According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, currently the contractor is a joint venture of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 - Lilama 10 Joint Stock Company - Construction Joint Stock Company 465 is focusing maximum manpower and machinery to construct the Ke Go Lake upgrade and repair project in Cam Due commune.
Workers are divided into many construction teams simultaneously in the items of upgrading the main dam, pouring concrete for the Dốc Miếu flood discharge spillway, and repairing the water intake tower.

Through observation, the workload is still large, so there is a risk of project delays when there is only one month left to complete and hand over the project.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Quang - technical officer of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 said that currently the weather is hot and sunny, construction at the construction site is very hard. However, under the pressure of progress, the unit has mobilized maximum machinery and manpower to focus on 3 shifts of 4 teams, constructing even at night.
To ensure workers' health, the company has adjusted working hours flexibly according to hot weather. Accordingly, working in the morning from 6am to 10am; in the afternoon from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.

Because it rained too much at the end of 2025, it affected the construction progress. Although construction has been focused on accelerating to compensate for volume, it is likely that the project will still not meet the completion schedule by June 30th. Perhaps it will be a few more months late to complete the entire project," Mr. Nguyen Ba Quang shared.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu - official of the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 1 - said that the project to upgrade and repair Ke Go Lake was started on December 27, 2024, and according to the plan, it will be completed in June 2026. Up to this point, the total construction volume has reached about 80%.
Also according to Mr. Hieu, due to objective reasons, too many rains and floods at the end of 2025 slowed down the construction progress, leading to low volume achievement.
It is expected that the project will not be completed until August 30, so the project may be delayed by several months compared to the contracted schedule," Mr. Hieu shared.
Currently, every day at the construction site, contractors mobilize about 150 workers to focus on construction in many items. To speed up progress, contractors have also constructed at night.

The project to upgrade and repair Ke Go Lake has a total investment of 350 billion VND from central capital, invested by the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board No. 1.
The project includes items: Repairing and upgrading the main dam, auxiliary dams 1 and 2, Doc Mieu spillway, water intake culvert, Doc Mieu spillway management and operation building and behind the main dam; building a new flood discharge spillway.
Ke Go reservoir was built in 1976, with a capacity of 345 million m3, and is the most important irrigation project in Ha Tinh.
Ke Go Lake not only serves irrigation for tens of thousands of hectares of agricultural land but also has the task of cutting and reducing floods for downstream areas, supplying domestic water and maintaining the ecological environment.
