Accordingly, at 11:00 a.m. on November 4, while 2 workers were maintaining and testing the production line at an altitude of 6 meters, worker Nguyen Huy Giap turned on the power switch (because he did not know that there were 2 workers on the conveyor belt).

When there was electricity, the conveyor belt caused the two workers to fall to the ground, causing Mr. Han Thiet C (born in 1989, residing in Quy Mong commune) to die, while Mr. Vu Dinh D (born in 1990, also residing in Quy Mong commune, Lao Cai province) was seriously injured, currently undergoing surgery and being treated at General Hospital No. 1 Lao Cai province.
According to the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province, Kiet Lam YB Company Limited has a total of 40 workers, but there is no trade union organization.
This enterprise is in the process of running a trial to check environmental-related contents, before officially operating, the incident occurred.

According to research, the factory area of Kiet Lam YB Company Limited is over 40,000 m2 wide, with synchronous investment in machinery to process wood chips and wood tablets. The capacity of tablets is 100,000 tons/year and wood chips is 100,000 tons/year.
The total investment capital is 75 billion VND, the current capital is 23 billion VND. Of which, Mr. YU HaiDong (Chinese nationality accounts for 95% of the capital), Mr. Bui Duc Truong (residing in Phu Tho) accounted for 2.5% and Mr. Dao Dinh Tan (residing in Ha Tinh) accounted for 2.5%.
Currently, Lao Cai Provincial Police are conducting a crime scene investigation, taking statements, and serving the investigation.
