According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tich Luong Ward, after receiving the feedback, the local government and the authorities conducted an inspection.
The reason was determined to be that Hong Phat Thai Nguyen Trading Company Limited has an iron oxide powder transit point here. The warehouse area is about 1,700m2, the concrete foundation and iron oxide powder are contained in bags.
However, the wastewater collection system at the warehouse is not guaranteed, causing environmental impact in the surrounding area.
In the immediate future, the local government has requested Hong Phat Thai Nguyen Trading Company Limited to provide all documents and legal documents related to the origin of goods and the staging area. The Environmental Monitoring Center has taken samples to assess environmental impacts.
The authorities have also sealed and transported all the iron oxide powder to the warehouse area to ensure safety. At the same time, the company was requested to urgently implement environmental remediation in the area where the incident occurred.
As of November 6, the areas where red liquid appeared had been cleaned and treated by workers.
