Quang Tri - Storm No. 3 caused strong winds, causing some houses in mountainous areas to collapse and have their roofs blown off.

On July 22, the Department of Irrigation and Natural Disaster Prevention (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri province) said that by 12:00 on July 22, the whole province had 1 house completely collapsed in Ho village (Huong Phung commune) and 23 other houses had their roofs blown off in La Lay commune.

In Cat village (Huong Phung commune), 100m2 of newly sown rice and 100m2 of freshwater fish pond were washed away. A 50m long negative embankment protecting the road in Thuong Trach commune was also seriously eroded. In addition, Tria and Cat villages (Huong Phung commune) are completely without power.

The whole province currently has more than 8,200 fishing vessels with nearly 26,000 workers. As of 10am the same day, there were still 151 ships with 627 workers operating at sea. The authorities have coordinated with the locality to promptly notify vehicle owners to proactively prevent and adjust production activities appropriately, ensuring the safety of life and property.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province has issued many telegrams to respond to storm No. 3, directing localities to review areas at risk of landslides and flash floods, deploy population protection plans, and organize calls for ships to take shelter.

Currently, functional forces are urgently monitoring the situation, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and supporting people to soon stabilize their lives.
