On February 22, the Command of Naval Region 2 said that at 3:30 pm on February 22, DK1/10 rig located on Ca Mau shoal belonging to DK1 Battalion, Naval Region 2, rescued fishermen in distress while fishing at sea.
Previously, at about 3:15 pm, DK1/10 rig received a distress signal from fishing boats BT93535TS and BT97903TS operating in the sea area with coordinates 08007’956”N, 103042’544’E (operating about 03 nautical miles from the rig) stating that there was a fisherman named Tran Van Quy (born in 1985, from Tan Phuoc commune, Dong Thap province). During fishing in Ca Mau sea, he had an accident due to a broken pair of trawl cables hitting him during trawling.

After receiving the information, DK1/10 rig sent a Military Medical Team to approach and perform initial first aid for the victim's condition: Slow contact, the head was torn, swollen with an area of 5x5cm right in front of the forehead; the right leg was broken in 1/3 below the calf. Immediately after that, the military medical team of the rig proceeded to wipe, wash, bandage the wound, and bandage the broken leg.
At the same time, they took measures such as intravenous fluids, anesthesia, stitching wounds, and pain-relieving antibiotics. After being cared for by officers and soldiers, the victim fisherman was awake and recognized, and his health gradually stabilized.

It is known that fishing vessel BT93535TS is captained by Mr. Phan Cong Nhan, born in 1962, from Vinh Long province, with 22 crew members on board, the ship owner is Mr. Phan Van De, born in 1975, from Tan Thuy commune (Vinh Long province).
After bandaging, the rig proceeded to dispense medicine and guide the captain of fishing vessel BT 93535TS to quickly maneuver to the nearest medical facility to continue treatment.
