On the morning of June 18, while performing their duties in the waters of Ba Ke Cluster, officers and soldiers of DK1/21 Shipyard promptly received and rescued a fisherman who had a work accident while fishing.
At around 8:30 a.m., DK1/21 Shipyard received an emergency distress signal from fishing boat QNg 95657 TS captained by Mr. Bui Van Ngot (residing in Binh Tri Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province). On board were 65 fishermen, of which Mr. Tieu Viet But (born in 1970, from the same hometown) suffered head injuries due to an accident while working.
The fishing boat is now only about 5 nautical miles from the dispatch house, so it has been quickly guided by the combat readiness force at the DK1/21 Dispatch House to land.
Immediately afterwards, the medical team promptly provided first aid to the victim, including blood pressure check, wound disinfection, 4-nose stitching, anti-inflammatory and pain reliever drugs.
According to the initial diagnosis, Mr. But was hit hard, causing tears in both ends of his head, software damage and difficulty moving.
After being treated medically, his health has stabilized and he can return to the ship at 9:30 a.m. the same day, under the dedicated support of the officers and soldiers of the captain's quarry.
Since the beginning of the year, DK1 rigs have promptly rescued 8 fishermen in distress at sea. These humane actions continue to affirm the role of the DK1 Shipyard Force not only as a "steel fortress" to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea area but also as a "solid support in the midst of the sea" for fishermen to feel secure going out to sea and sticking to the sea.
