Over the past time, many households living in residential group 16, Hai Chau ward, Da Nang city have continuously reflected on the situation of large cracks appearing on house walls for a long time.
Recorded at K10 Yen Bai, Hai Chau ward, many people expressed concern and insecurity when cracked wall patches continuously appeared on the house walls.
According to people's reflections, the construction of a nearby project has caused many large and small cracks to appear on their house walls. At cracked locations, many households have to use temporary tape to prevent wall patches from falling, posing a potential risk of unsafety.
Living in K10 Yen Bai, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tung's house has many large and small cracks.
At the time of digging the foundation, the sound of machinery echoed loudly, once knocking down a curtain hanging on the wall in the house. Many nights we couldn't sleep because the construction work was too noisy," Mr. Tung said.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, owner of a house in K10 Yen Bai, said that previously cracks did not appear on the house walls. However, since the construction of the high-rise building on Le Duan street, many walls in his house have begun to show cracks.
Whether it's rainy or sunny, my family is worried that the house walls will continue to crack further, water will see through the walls, but we don't know how to handle it. The construction unit has come to survey and take pictures, but our family is still very worried, not sure how the repair and restoration of the house will be carried out," Mr. Tu said.
Faced with the above situation, representatives of Hai Chau Ward People's Committee informed that the construction unit has sent an official letter to the local authorities requesting coordination to inspect and survey the actual situation to assess the stability and level of impact of the project on households and neighboring infrastructure.
The content of the official dispatch clearly states the necessity to survey the current situation of road subsidence (Le Duan street), project slope and neighboring houses to have a basis for implementing technical measures to ensure safety.
After inspecting the site and working with the construction unit, we have a plan to coordinate with relevant parties to inspect and closely assess the actual situation in January. From the survey results, there will be instructions on drilling locations to install standard markers and request the construction unit to have remedial measures to ensure absolute safety for people," said a representative of Hai Chau Ward People's Committee.
