Road patrolman killed by train in Gia Lai

Gia Lai - The authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of a patrol employee being hit and killed by a train while on duty at night.

On the morning of November 9, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Phan Xuan Nam - Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Duong Commune (Gia Lai Province) - confirmed that on the evening of November 8, on the North-South railway line, the section passing through the commune, a railway accident occurred, killing 1 person.

According to initial information, at around 6:30 p.m. on November 8, at Km1039+700 on the North-South railway (Van Truong Tay village, Binh Duong commune), a train with registration number D12E-641 driven by Nguyen Cao P. (unknown background) running from South to North collided with Mr. Nguyen Duc T. (born in 1983, residing in Phu My Bac commune) walking on the railway.

The accident caused Mr. T. to die on the spot. The victim was identified as a patrol employee of the Bong Son Bridge and Road Team (Nghia Binh Railway Joint Stock Company), who is performing the task of checking the route as assigned.

The case is currently being investigated by the authorities to clarify the cause.
