On the morning of November 16, a tree branch on the sidewalk of Nguyen Chi Thanh Street (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) suddenly broke and fell onto the street. According to local residents, there were no people nearby when the tree broke and fell onto the street, so there were no casualties.
However, the sudden fall and break of a tree on the sidewalk has caused many people to worry. Currently, the authorities are directing traffic and cleaning up the fallen tree.
Mr. Vo Truong Anh, Chairman of Hai Chau 1 Ward People's Committee said: "We have reported the incident to the Green Tree Company and the Hai Chau District Urban Management Department and have completed the handling. There are currently no human casualties."
According to Mr. Anh, all the trees on this street have been trimmed and it is unclear why the trees could have fallen while they were still very fresh. In the near future, this unit will also send a document requesting the authorities at all levels to review the trees in the ward.
