On January 9, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Provincial Traffic Police force in coordination with Quy Loc Commune Police had just received many boxes of firecrackers voluntarily handed over by people.
Previously, during patrols and controls on provincial road 518B, Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police and the Order Police Team of Quy Loc Commune Police received firecrackers brought by a resident to hand over.

The handover person is Mr. Nguyen Van Hon (born 1971, residing in Quy Loc commune). According to the report, while traveling from Yen Truong commune to Quy Loc commune, Mr. Hon discovered a nylon bag by the roadside. Opening it for inspection, seeing that there were firecrackers inside, he proactively brought it to the police station to hand over.
The entire number of firecrackers includes 11 rectangular boxes of firecrackers, manufactured abroad, with a total weight of about 3 kg.
After receiving it, the working group made a record and handed over the firecrackers to the Quy Loc Commune Police for further verification and handling according to regulations.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, people's voluntary handover of firecrackers demonstrates the spirit of civic responsibility in preventing and stopping acts of buying, selling, storing, and using illegal firecrackers, contributing to ensuring security and order during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
