Many achievements contribute to ensuring security and order
In 2024, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 (headquartered in Vung Tau City) thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented resolutions, regulations, and orders on combat readiness; closely monitored and grasped the situation of sea areas and management areas... according to regulations.
The unit has organized 173 ships and boats to operate safely over 60,988 nautical miles. At the same time, it directly arrested and handled 20 cases with 24 violating vehicles; imposed administrative penalties and auctioned off goods to the public fund worth nearly 12 billion VND.
Coordinated with other units to combat and destroy 17 cases, arrested 22 subjects, seized 21 kg of cocaine, 3,225 grams of synthetic drugs; received, verified, and processed 110 information on search, rescue, and maritime security; rescued 13 crew members, provided first aid to 2 fishermen, and towed 2 vehicles...
In 2024, the Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province presided over and coordinated the detection, arrest and handling of 310 cases/375 subjects. Thereby, a large amount of evidence was seized such as: 126,589 liters of D.O oil, 42 kg of cocaine, 953.38 grams of synthetic drugs in the form of rocks, 78 kg of firecrackers...
The unit also completed exit, entry and port transfer procedures for 8,143 cargo ships/165,939 crew members/80,956,036 tons of cargo, and completed exit and entry procedures for 86 passenger ships/81,497 crew members/194,577 passengers to Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Meaningful activities are continuously implemented
Along with the achievements in recent times, many meaningful activities have also been organized by units in many places in the management area. For example, Coast Guard Region 3 has accompanied fishermen in 9 provinces, presented 1,520 gifts, distributed more than 10,000 leaflets, 8,000 notebooks, 3,000 national flags, 1,100 personal life jackets; organized 9 "I love the sea and islands of my homeland" contests attracting 73,318 students to participate; and presented 560 scholarships and 155 bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties...
The Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has also implemented the programs "Helping children go to school", "Spring Border Guard, Warming the hearts of the villagers" in early 2024. At the same time, coordinating with units to organize activities "Accompanying women in the border areas", presenting "Warm houses of love"... supporting more than 920 gifts for people in difficult circumstances.
The leaders of the units said that they will continue to strive to do a good job and promote the implementation of activities in the period of 2025 - 2030. In particular, they will continue to strengthen close coordination with forces, agencies and units in patrolling, searching, rescuing, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, accompanying fishermen in developing the economy in conjunction with protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands...
