In February 2025, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan signed a document to rectify and overcome shortcomings and deficiencies through the inspection results of the implementation of the 2024 Anti-Corruption and Negativity Work Plan.
Khanh Hoa Chairman Nguyen Tan Tuan assessed that agencies, units and localities have made many efforts in implementing preventive measures and deploying work to prevent and combat corruption and negativity.
The head of Khanh Hoa province commented that, besides the achieved results, there are still some shortcomings and deficiencies in the development and implementation of the Plan for preventing and combating corruption and negativity of agencies, units and localities.
Some units have not yet developed contents such as inspection, handling, review, and systematization of legal documents on corruption prevention and control; inspection and monitoring of the implementation of legal documents on corruption prevention and control.
Some units have not yet developed specific contents for internal inspection and self-inspection (publicity, transparency, control of conflicts of interest, etc.); gift giving and receiving.
The list of above mentioned units includes departments, branches, sectors, and television stations such as: Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Construction, Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board, Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, Khanh Hoa Medical College, Department of Justice, etc.
The list also includes localities such as Khanh Vinh District People's Committee, Cam Lam District, Nha Trang City...
The state-owned enterprises are Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest One Member Co., Ltd., Khanh Hoa Lottery One Member Co., Ltd., Khanh Hoa Forestry One Member Co., Ltd., Tram Huong Forestry One Member Co., Ltd., and Khanh Viet Corporation.
From the above-mentioned shortcomings and deficiencies, Chairman of Khanh Hoa province Nguyen Tan Tuan directed departments, branches, public service units, state-owned enterprises; People's Committees of districts and cities to urgently conduct self-review and implement remedial measures for the shortcomings and deficiencies discovered through inspection.
Units must also develop and implement the 2025 Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negative Work Plan, ensuring adherence to requirements, objectives, and full content; complete the issuance of the Plan, and at the same time, send it to the Provincial Inspectorate for monitoring and synthesis.
Disciplinary action against 85 party members for violations
As of November 2024, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Khanh Hoa province discovered and disciplined 85 party members who violated the law; transferred 3 cases with signs of crime to the investigation agency for handling according to the law.
