According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of June 4, at Son La City Central Market (located in Chieng Le Ward, Son La City), outside the market, shops, stalls, kiosks selling household items, medicine, vegetables, fruits, dried goods, and handicrafts are still trading normally.
However, going deep into the market, the space was unusually quiet. Most of the stalls were closed and covered with tarpaulins.

To clarify this situation, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters contacted and discussed with Mr. Doan Manh Cuong - Head of the Management Board of Son La City Central Market, Mr. Cuong said that the closure and suspension of businesses in the market took place from the morning of June 2 (with more than 100 stores, kiosks selling clothes, household appliances... closed).
Traders in the market closed because they were worried about goods related to invoices and documents. Most of the goods are imported from large units or through many intermediary units, so it is difficult to ensure sufficient valid documents, especially for small, traditional business households.
Meanwhile, Son La province is launching a peak period of fighting to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights to protect consumer rights. At the same time, creating a fair business environment for genuine business households. Therefore, traders were worried that they would be fined when checking, so they temporarily closed.
"Right in the morning of 2.6, the Market Management Board captured the situation, promptly reported to the City People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade to take measures to handle. At the same time, we also promote propaganda and mobilize business households to be assured of trading back to normal, ensuring the supply of essential goods to serve the people's lives, not to affect the situation of socio -economic development" - Mr. Cuong said.

By the morning of June 4, more than 60% of households had reopened their businesses. Currently, there are still more than 30 business households in the market continuing to close for sale.
The Son La City Central Market Management Board is continuing to propagate and instruct businesses to comply with legal regulations, gradually changing habits, raising awareness of the transparency of the origin of goods. Increase the dissemination of information on many channels such as internal loudspeakers, Zalo groups of traders, social networks... so that households can properly understand policies and guidelines and feel secure to return to normal business.
