A similar situation also occurred with Moc Thao bus company, specializing in the Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Yen route, when tickets on April 29 were sold out early.
Phuong Trang bus company also recorded "sold out" routes from Ho Chi Minh City to the Central provinces on April 29. The representative of this airline said that they are actively mobilizing vehicles from low-passenger routes to routes with high demand, in order to best serve the travel needs of people during the holidays.
According to information from the new Mien Dong Bus Station, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the number of passengers is expected to increase by about 10% compared to the same period last year, estimated at about 47,400 passengers in the period from April 29 to May 4.
During the two peak days of April 29 and 30, ticket prices for routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the West will be adjusted up to 40%.
In particular, routes from Hue to the northern provinces will maintain the same price as usual.

At the old Mien Dong Bus Station (Binh Thanh District), the number of passengers during the peak period is expected to reach 62,250 trips. Ticket prices here have also been adjusted to increase by no more than 40% on April 29 and 30.
At Mien Tay Bus Station (Binh Tan District), passenger and vehicle output increased by about 5% compared to the same period last year. The peak fell on April 30, with an output of 61,500 passengers/day, the total number of trips up to 2,120 trips/day. Ticket prices here also increased by no more than 40% during the two peak days.
Faced with the increase in the number of passengers, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has requested bus stations to proactively develop plans to increase vehicles, ready to relieve congestion if there is a situation of congestion.
At the same time, ticket price control and driver activities have also been tightened to ensure service quality and safety for people.
In addition, wharves in Ho Chi Minh City and localities have coordinated to update traffic situations, prepare regulation plans when congestion occurs on routes.
To support people to move conveniently during the April 30 holiday, the city's transport sector has increased buses connecting from the city center to Tan Son Nhat airport, inter-provincial bus stations and tourist areas and commercial centers.
According to the Department of Transport, Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will increase the number of trips and extend the operating time each day to meet the travel and entertainment needs of people during the April 30 holiday.
