Faced with being owed salaries for more than 4 months in 2025, and still not having salaries in 2026 - many employees of Phu Tan Regional Health Center, Ca Mau province have filed complaints to the Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee and the Director of Ca Mau Department of Health.
According to reports, throughout 2025, some Center officials and employees have not received on-duty money. Regarding salaries, from September to December 2025, they have not been paid. In January 2026, the situation of salary arrears has not been overcome, while Tet is approaching.
A doctor working at the Center said that the biggest difficulty currently falls on the nursing staff or families with both husband and wife working at the unit.
A medical staff member (who asked to remain anonymous) said that he has determined that working as a doctor is hard, day and night shifts are common, but working for more than 4 months without a salary is really very difficult.
On January 8, Mr. Mac Hoang Nhu, Director of Phu Tan Regional Health Center, Ca Mau province, confirmed the above situation. Mr. Nhu said that from 2023 to 2024, the Center lost more than 8 billion VND. In 2025, the unit continued to lose about 1.8 billion VND.
Currently, the Center has to temporarily borrow expenses, so it does not have enough funds to pay, and has to repay 4 months' salary (from September to December 2025). It is expected that new funds will be allocated from 2026, when it will be possible to pay salaries to officials and employees.
According to Mr. Nhu, on-duty money has only been allocated for a few months, the rest has not yet had a source to pay. Regarding salary expenses for employees who are in shortage, it is more than 6 billion VND, but the Center does not have a source to pay. The Center is preparing a report to request the Department of Health and the Provincial People's Committee to allocate additional funds to pay salaries.
In 2024, the Phu Tan District Health Center, Ca Mau province (now Phu Tan Regional Health Center) reported to the Supervisory Delegation of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council (old) on the imbalance in revenue and expenditure due to the low number of people being examined and treated for diseases, causing the Center to lose money and lack resources to invest in equipment.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
