Storm No. 5 made landfall in Nghe An on the night of August 25, causing hundreds of trees to be uprooted, fences, corrugated iron roofs and glass from high-rise buildings to fall down, damaging many cars parked on the roadside and around the apartment building.
On August 26, in many wards of Vinh city (old), many cars had fallen trees, collapsed walls and fallen glass. On Nguyen Sy Sach Street, Thanh Vinh Ward, a series of large trees were uprooted and crushed a car parked on the side of the road.

In Vinh Phu ward, some vehicles were hit by the practice wall of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club. In high-rise apartment buildings, many vehicles had broken windows and corrugated iron roofs swept away by the storm.
According to preliminary statistics, there are no official figures but it is estimated that dozens of cars were affected after the storm.

As of the morning of August 26, the whole province has not recorded any human losses in the storm. However, 1 person died due to electric shock during the previous storm-proof roof repair, 2 people were injured, 91 houses and a number of school and medical facilities had their damaged roofs blown off.
