1,300 billion VND transportation project
The traffic project connecting key economic areas in the dynamic economic zone along National Highway 279 and National Highway 12 in Dien Bien province (Dynamic Road Project) was approved by the People's Committee of Dien Bien province on May 31, 2021. The project has a total investment of VND 1,300 billion, invested by the Traffic Project Management Board.
The total length of the project route is 35.35 km. Of which, the route within Dien Bien Phu city is 5.78 km long, including 7 sections; the route outside the urban area is 29.57 km long, including 1 main route and 5 branch routes.
The project aims to complete the transport infrastructure, ensuring synchronous connection between the basin area of Dien Bien district and Dien Bien Phu city. At the same time, creating regional linkages to promote the exploitation of potentials and advantages in developing agricultural and forestry production, trade services, and tourism.
The project implementation period from 2021-2024 has been adjusted to the end of 2025. Currently, the total volume of construction packages implemented has reached more than 70%.
Nam Rom River project worth nearly a thousand billion VND
The Nam Rom River Basin Multi-Disaster Management Project in Dien Bien Province has a total project implementation capital of over VND981 billion, of which ODA loan capital from the French Development Agency AFD is VND665.5 billion (24.65 million Euro); counterpart capital is VND275.028 billion (10.19 million Euro) and non-refundable EU aid capital is VND40.5 billion (1.5 million Euro).
After nearly 2 years of launching, up to now, all 7/7 packages of the project are being urgently constructed to ensure the project is completed before December 31, 2025.
After completing the project, the Nam Rom River section through Dien Bien Phu City and Dien Bien District will become a multi-functional river section: Preventing landslides to protect land; Draining floods, preventing inundation; Providing water for daily life, industry, etc.
Urban road project over 286 billion VND
The Thanh Minh - Doc Lap Hill and residential area construction investment project (Northern Ring Road), Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province has a total length of over 4.3 km with a total investment of about 286 billion VND, of which construction and equipment costs are over 188 billion VND. Thus, the road has a total length of 4.3 km, averaging over 43 billion VND/km of urban road.
The project is implemented in the form of public-private partnership, BT construction-transfer contract (BT project), with Huy Hoang Construction Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Hai Phong City) as the investor.
When completed, the project will shorten the travel distance from 8 km to 4.6 km and reduce the traffic of heavy trucks passing through the inner city. In addition, this project will also create land funds to serve the needs of residential land as well as social housing for people, especially those with low and middle incomes; exploit the potential of land, tourism, and promote local socio-economic development.
The project's implementation period has been adjusted to the end of 2025 - an additional year compared to the previous adjustment. Thus, the project's implementation period has been adjusted 4 times.
Office over 100 billion VND
The project to build a working headquarters combined with a technical center for producing radio and television programs for Dien Bien province has a total investment of 100 billion VND, with an implementation period from 2021 to 2024, invested by the Provincial Civil and Industrial Works Management Board.
At the end of October 2024, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to adjust the project implementation time until the end of 2025.
Currently, the project has basically completed site clearance and leveling, and is carrying out construction of project items.
