On February 23, a representative of the People's Committee of Quang Thai commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province said that regarding the incident, Ms. Le Thi Hoa (a local) unexpectedly returned to her hometown after decades of unknown achievements. After receiving the report from the family, the local authorities have been supporting and instructing Ms. Hoa to make personal documents.

According to the representative of Quang Thai Commune Police, when returning to the locality, Ms. Hoa no longer had personal documents and her name was not in the family's household registration book. Therefore, the unit is currently coordinating with Quang Xuong District Police to verify relatives, relationships and personal information, thereby serving as a basis for carrying out import procedures and issuing documents to Ms. Hoa.
"After completing the import procedures, Ms. Hoa can take the next steps to make a citizen identification card and other related documents" - a representative of Quang Thai Commune Police informed.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Le Thi Hoa (born in 1977, from Quang Thai Commune, Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa Province) after more than 30 years of being tricked into going to China and selling it to a man in Guangzhou Province (China) to become a wife, has now returned to her hometown in the overwhelming happiness of her whole family.

According to Ms. Hoa, in 1992, after arriving in China, she realized that she had been scammed into selling to a man 13 years older than her. Caught in the situation of "not being able to come home, not being able to stay", she had to go through months of abuse. Once, when she could not bear it, she ran away but was arrested and her husband cut off her finger.
It was not until 2016, when her husband passed away, that she escaped the misery and went to the market every day to sell vegetables to make a living. Here, she met and fell in love with another man in Guangzhou (China). When he heard his wife's story, this husband tried every way to help her find her hometown but to no avail.
At the end of 2024, Ms. Hoa accidentally met a Vietnamese woman and was lucky to receive support, helping her find her hometown and relatives in Quang Thai commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province.
