The North-South high-speed railway section passing through Ninh Binh province has a total length of about 86km, passing through 23 communes and wards with 3 stations and 3 maintenance stations. In which, the starting point is identified in Dong Van ward and the ending point in Trung Son ward. Currently, localities with projects passing through are focusing on site clearance to serve the Project.
On December 19, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Construction said that according to the route of the Project provided by the Railway Project Management Board and the report of the People's Committees of communes and wards where the Project passes through. The total area to be recovered from the Project in Ninh Binh province is over 1,000ha with more than 9,000 households affected. In which, the scope of railway safety corridor boundary is about 631.7ha and the scope of project protection boundary is about 406.78ha.

It is estimated that the number of affected households under resettlement is about 1,713 households. Currently, localities are continuing to review and standardize accurate data according to the route profile of the Project handed over by the Railway Project Management Board. 21/23 communes and wards have resettlement needs and are expected to arrange 31 resettlement projects for affected households.
Up to now, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has issued a document approving the policy of the resettlement project for 16 communes and wards with 25 resettlement projects. Among them, 6 communes and wards have completed the master plan and are implementing the next steps of the project to submit for appraisal" - a representative of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Construction said.

According to representatives of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Construction, currently, site clearance work is facing some difficulties and obstacles because the Project passes through a number of religious buildings, historical relics, densely populated residential areas, companies, production plants, and material mining mines...
The Department of Construction has issued a document reporting to the Ministry of Construction for consideration and consultation with competent authorities to supplement the specific mechanism of the Project, allowing construction in advance of cemetery areas to promptly meet the project's progress requirements.
At the same time, direct the Railway Project Management Board, consulting unit and relevant agencies and units to review, research, work directly and agree with Ninh Binh province on the route direction and location of stations, depots, maintenance stations, and project design solutions to ensure suitability, efficiency, and convenience for site clearance work.
