On February 26, Long Hai Commune Police coordinated with functional forces to investigate and clarify the cause of a labor accident that occurred at a seafood processing facility in Long Hai commune (HCMC).
According to initial information, at about 10:30 am on February 26, at the seafood processing facility of H.V Co., Ltd. (Lo Voi hamlet, Long Hai commune), when company employees were discussing with Mr. D. V. N (born in 1975) about repairing a cold storage air compressor, the cold storage air tank nearby suddenly exploded.
The explosion seriously injured Mr. N in the buttocks, thighs, and left knee area. The air tank shell continued to fly and hit Mr. P.V. H (born in 1985) and Mr. T.V. M (born in 1979) who were cleaning the fish drying rack about 10m away, causing Mr. M to die on the spot, and Mr. H broke his calf and right thigh.
After the incident occurred, people around the area quickly took the 2 injured people to the emergency room for treatment at Ba Ria General Hospital (Tam Long ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Currently, functional agencies are examining the scene, verifying and clarifying the cause of the incident to resolve it according to regulations.
