Information from Road Joint Stock Company 226 said that at around 1:30 p.m. on September 11, at Km28+200/National Highway 279 in Huoi Hom village, Bung Lao commune, Dien Bien province, a serious traffic accident had just occurred.
According to initial information, the car with license plate 27A-057.XX was driven by Ms. Pham Thi Minh N (born in 1971, residing in Muong Ang commune), carrying 2 more people, traveling from Dien Bien Phu ward to Tuan Giao commune.
When arriving at the above location, the car lost control and plunged straight into Nam Co stream. The accident injured all 3 people on the bus, and their health is currently being monitored at Muong Ang Medical Center.
At around 4:00 p.m. the same day, the car was pulled ashore. According to the record, the car was severely damaged after the strong collision and was submerged in water.
The initial cause was determined to be the car driver's loss of control. The accident is being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
