It is estimated that there are more than 1,000 bottles of fish sauce of unknown origin, discovered by people on the banks of the main canal of Phu Ninh (in Tam Thai commune, Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam) on the evening of June 18.

These fish sauce bottles have a capacity of 1 to 5 liters, carrying labels such as "Shared fish and rice", "Golden rice". According to the packaging, this is mainly a product of the Kapok brand, with an unknown production location.
The packaging still clearly states that the expiration date is 1 year, but most of them have expired from a few months to more than a year. Some were broken and overflowed.

This is the first time in the area that a large amount of fish sauce has been thrown into the environment like this. Requesting authorities to tighten the management of goods quality and strictly handle cases of food destruction in the wrong place, causing risk of environmental pollution and affecting public health" - a local resident said.
The leader of Tam Thai Commune Police informed: "We have recorded the scene and collected the discarded goods. Because this location is deserted and has few people passing by, it is very difficult to determine the subject of the discard. However, we are continuing to verify and investigate to handle it in accordance with the provisions of the law".
