On the morning of March 17, the Long An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on merging Long An Newspaper and Long An Radio and Television Station and personnel work. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An province - chaired the conference; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut attended.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee of Long An Provincial Party Committee announced the decision to merge Long An Newspaper and Long An Radio and Television Station into Long An Radio and Television Station from April 2, 2025. Long An Radio and Television Newspaper is a public service unit under the Long An Provincial Party Committee, with 4 types of press including: Print newspaper, electronic newspaper, television and radio.
The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee also announced the decision of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to receive and appoint Mr. Le Hong Phuoc - Director of Long An Radio and Television Station - to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Long An Radio and Television Station.

Receiving and appointing 4 Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station including: Le Thi Thanh Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung (Deputy Director of Long An Radio and Television Station); Chau Hong Kha, Nguyen Thi Huyen Thu (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Long An Newspaper).
The Provincial Party Standing Committee also announced the decision to accept Mr. Phung Tan Tu - Editor-in-Chief of Long An Newspaper - to work at the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, appointing him to the position of Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
The above decisions take effect from April 2, 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An province Nguyen Thanh Hai affirmed that the merger of the two major press agencies of the province aims to ensure synergy, with resources to operate worthy of modern, multi-medium media agencies in current trending conditions.
Mr. Hai requested that after the merger, the new leadership of Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station should do a good job of stabilizing ideology, building a spirit of solidarity, internal unity, and soon stabilizing the organization to operate effectively according to assigned functions and tasks. In particular, the application of digital technology is an urgent requirement, in order to meet the trend of modern multimedia communication. On the Provincial Party Committee's side, there will be reasonable attention and investment to create sustainable development momentum, bringing the unit to new heights, becoming stronger and more effective.
