On the afternoon of October 25, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6, Traffic Police Department (CSGT) issued a record of administrative violation against a driver driving in reverse on Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Highway.
At 5:19 p.m. on October 25, while patrolling the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway at Km25, the traffic police patrol team discovered a passenger car with license plate 60B - 057.99 reversing on the expressway at the intersection of National Highway 55, through Song Phan Commune, Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan Province. The traffic police team recorded the video and took the passenger car out of the expressway intersection to issue a ticket.
Working with the task force, the driver stated that he was driving on the highway towards Dong Nai. Because he got lost when he reached the intersection of Highway 55, he had to reverse the car to change direction.
For the above violation, the driver was fined from 16 million to 18 million VND, had his driver's license revoked, and his passenger vehicle impounded for 6 months.
