A high hill creates a dead end in Phu Tho's largest industrial park
The Prime Minister approved the addition of Cam Khe Industrial Park to the Industrial Park Development Plan in Vietnam. On May 13, 2016, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province issued Decision No. 1092/QD-UBND on the establishment of Cam Khe Industrial Park.
According to the plan, Cam Khe industrial park has a total area of up to 450 hectares, located in Cam Khe town and Phong Thinh commune (new commune after merging 3 communes: Xuong Thinh, Cap Dan and Son Tinh).

Regarding traffic, the eastern side (main gate) of the industrial park connects with National Highway 32C along the Red River, about 800 m from the IC10 Intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway. Up to now, the eastern main gate is the only entrance to this industrial park.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in early March, on the western side of Cam Khe Industrial Park, factories have been put into operation, and the site is also being leveled... The distance from the main gate on the eastern side to the western side, although it is a straight road, is up to 3 km long.

For workers in Phong Thinh commune and its vicinity, although it is very close to the industrial park if calculated by the distance from the flight route, in reality, it is separated by a hill adjacent to the west of the industrial park, so they will have to go around the center of Cam Khe town to be able to enter the main gate in the east.
For example, if calculated from the People's Committee of Phong Thinh commune, the distance from the bird's nest to the industrial park is less than 1 km, but in reality, the current distance is about 5.5 km to the main gate, and an additional 3 km to enter the factories in the west is about 8.5 km (near a circle).

Ms. Ha Thi Van - a worker living in Phong Thinh commune - shared: "Currently, workers from my commune and neighboring areas when going to work in Cam Khe industrial park have to go around, very far and time-consuming. Therefore, a section of road through the hill to the industrial park has been our desire for many years".
The 96 billion VND road is under construction over a high hill, breaking the deadlock in the largest industrial park in Phu Tho
In the coming time, traffic in the western part of Cam Khe Industrial Park, where there is a high hill as a natural barrier, will be opened, when the project has a total investment of VND 2,120 billion: Inter-regional traffic road connecting Ho Chi Minh road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province - is implementing a package worth more than VND 96 billion: Construction of branch line (from the main inter-regional road connecting Cam Khe Industrial Park).

According to records, at the construction site of the inter-regional branch road, there are many equipment and vehicles digging and filling the roadbed; the road section of more than 3 km is gradually taking shape. In particular, the road over the high hills connecting to the Cam Khe industrial park under construction has created a multi-storey, extremely high slope.

According to the People's Committee of Cam Khe district, the project is expected to reclaim 11.81 hectares of 463 households, including residential land, agricultural land and 17 graves (completed). Of which, 11 households are subject to resettlement, including 4 households in Cam Khe town and 7 households in Phong Thinh commune. To date, the area of cleared land has reached about 9.5 hectares.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Do The Nam - Deputy Director of Phu Tho Province Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that up to now, the completed workload of the inter-regional road branch construction package connecting Cam Khe industrial park has reached about 20%.

When put into use in the future, the travel distance will be shortened, meeting the expectations of many workers and laborers in Cam Khe Industrial Park. At the same time, it will increase the connectivity between the industrial park and inter-regional roads and many other important traffic routes in the area, contributing to increasing the effectiveness of attracting investment for Cam Khe industrial park in particular, contributing to the socio-economic development of Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province in general.
