On the morning of December 18, the two families held a funeral for two girls living in Can Giuoc commune, Tay Ninh province who were found dead on the bank of a river in the area a day earlier. The incident is being further verified and clarified by the authorities.
According to initial information, the two victims were T.U.N (11 years old) and N.T.T.V (10 years old), residing in Hamlet 4, Can Giuoc Commune. On December 15, the family reported that the two children went out together but did not return home.
After the incident, the family and local people organized searches in many places but to no avail, and posted information on social media to ask for support from the community.
On December 17, people discovered the bodies of two children on the bank of a river flowing through Can Giuoc commune. The location of the two bodies discovered was not far apart.
Immediately afterwards, the authorities blocked off the scene, conducted an autopsy according to regulations and handed over the bodies of the two children to the family for burial.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Tay Ninh Province Police is continuing to verify and investigate to clarify the cause of the incident.
