On August 30, the People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune (An Giang) announced the incident of abandoned children. Accordingly, at around 12:20 on August 29, people discovered a newborn crying on the side of the road about 400m from Thanh Yen Bridge on Provincial 966 Street (in Can Vam Hamlet, Vinh Hoa Commune).
Many people came to see and carried the baby up. Initially, it was identified as a boy, weighing about 3kg. The baby had just given birth, still had umbilical cord and was wrapped in a gray-brown jacket. The child's health is currently stable.
The People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune informs anyone who is a relative of the newborn baby with the above information or an organization or individual who knows information about this newborn baby to contact the Vinh Hoa Commune Police, phone number 02973.578.123, or phone number 0977.037.330 (meeting Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nhu, Judicial - Civil Serendant) to support in finding relatives for the baby.
After 7 days, if there is no information about the biological father or mother of the child, the People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune will notify Ms. Quach Thi Kim Thoa, who is temporarily raising the child, to carry out birth registration procedures for the child according to regulations.
Previously, social networks spread a video clip recording the scene of people discovering a newborn baby abandoned on the side of the road. People came to pick up the baby, take care of him and report to the local authorities.
