On October 24, the People's Committee of Tan Lap Ward (Dak Lak Province) said that the unit is coordinating with the Forest Protection Department of Buon Ma Thuot area to investigate and clarify the deforestation case that occurred in sub-area 911, in residential group 5B.
Previously, on October 9, from a local news source, the authorities inspected the scene in sub-area 911, residential group 5B - in the environmental protection forest of Hoa Thang commune (old).
Here, the authorities discovered 31 round wooden lining with a diameter of 1015 cm, a length of 16 m, with a total volume of about 3.1 m3. These trees, including car oranges, nests, lentils, and coins, are lying around on an empty lot.
Checking the area adjacent to the scene, the working group discovered that some forest tree stumps had been cut down and dried, with no trees on site.
Notably, near the area where wooden branches were discovered, the authorities also recorded 27 lentil trees 510 m high and 2 incense trees suspected of being being transported elsewhere for planting. At the time of discovering the incident, the violator had not been identified.
